Actor Rahul Kohli has gone from selling video games to customers to starring in one of the biggest releases of the year. The actor, known for his roles in "The Haunting of Bly Manor" and "iZombie," is now a central character in the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 title "Saros." In a recent interview, Kohli described the role as a "dream come true," noting that his early career in a game store gave him a unique perspective on the industry.
"It feels surreal," Kohli said. "I used to stand behind a counter, pitching games to people, and now I am inside one of them. This is the kind of project I would have begged my customers to buy back then." The game, which is being developed by Housemarque, the studio behind the hit "Returnal," is set in a dark sci-fi universe. Kohli plays a character named Arjun, a soldier trapped on a hostile alien moon where time resets after each death.
Kohli emphasized that the motion capture and voice work for "Saros" required a different kind of stamina compared to TV acting. "You are acting against nothing, but you have to bring the same intensity. It is physically demanding," he explained. The actor also praised the game's narrative depth, calling it a "cinematic experience" that pushes the boundaries of interactive storytelling. "Saros" is scheduled for release in 2026, and fans are already marking their calendars. For Kohli, it is the culmination of a lifelong passion. "I am a gamer first," he said. "To be part of this world is the highest honor."
