Rockstar Games' sprawling Western epic, Red Dead Redemption 2, is set to headline the batch of titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in May. Subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers will soon be able to saddle up and explore the vast, dying frontier of 1899, following the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang. The addition brings one of the most critically acclaimed open-world games of the last generation to the service, complete with its detailed hunting mechanics, camp management, and a narrative that spans multiple chapters.
Alongside the cowboy saga, the catalog will also welcome Star Wars Outlaws, giving players a chance to step into the boots of scoundrel Kay Vess as she navigates the criminal underworld of the galaxy far, far away. The lineup is rounded out by a handful of other titles, offering a mix of genres. These include the fast-paced action of Sonic Frontiers, the narrative-driven adventure of The Forgotten City, and the atmospheric horror of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope. For fans of strategy, the turn-based combat of Marvel's Midnight Suns will also be available to download. The full list of games is expected to go live for subscribers later this month, providing a substantial library update for those looking for new experiences without an additional purchase.
