The full schedule for the Games for Change London conference, set for April 15th, has been officially announced. The event, themed "Community Channelled," will feature over 45 speakers across two tracks of content, all focused on harnessing the power of game communities for real-world positive impact.
Held at the Leonardo Tower Bridge Hotel, the conference will open with scene-setting talks from Games for Change President Susanna Pollack and a discussion on the documentary "The Remarkable Life of Ibelin." A morning workshop hosted by UNICEF, LEGO, and the Joan Ganz Cooney Center will guide developers on designing for children's well-being.
The agenda includes diverse sessions on building community impact within games, featuring insights from Supercell's Hay Day team and a case study on a successful fundraising campaign for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Afternoon programming splits into parallel tracks, offering panels on using games for urban design, fostering playful partnerships between sports and gaming charities, and research on games promoting sustainable choices. Interactive roundtables will cover topics from neurodiversity and community safety to game preservation.
The event is supported by several industry partners and offers subsidized passes through a scholarship program. Tickets are available for industry professionals and at a concession rate for students, indie developers, and non-profit attendees.
