Darth Vader is getting a horror game, and it might be the most unsettling way to celebrate May the 4th this year. Three new Star Wars titles have launched in time for the annual fan holiday, offering a mix of terror, strategy, and action for players across different platforms.
The most surprising release is a first-person horror experience centered on the Dark Lord of the Sith. Players take on the role of an Imperial officer trapped aboard a Star Destroyer after a Rebel attack. The twist is that Vader himself is hunting you. The game leans heavily on atmosphere, using dim corridors, flickering lights, and the sound of a mechanical breathing that gets closer with every wrong turn. It is not a lightsaber duel. It is a game of hide and seek where one mistake means a quick, brutal end.
Alongside this horror title, a new tactical squad game has also dropped. It focuses on Rebel commandos during the Galactic Civil War, requiring careful planning and stealth over direct combat. The third release is a smaller, arcade-style starfighter game that emphasizes high scores and fast dogfights.
All three games are available now on PC and consoles. For fans who want a different kind of Star Wars experience this May the 4th, the horror game offers a fresh and genuinely tense take on the galaxy far, far away.
