I lived with a liquid-cooled gaming phone, and it rarely let me down in everyday life

Gaming phones often get a bad rap for being bulky, flashy, and impractical for daily use. But after living with the Red Magic 11S Pro as my primary device, I found that its liquid-cooling system and raw power did more than just keep frame rates high. It rarely let me down in the moments that actually matter outside of gaming.

The phone runs demanding PC ports without breaking a sweat, which is impressive on paper. But what surprised me was the battery life. Even with the internal fan and active cooling, the 6,000 mAh cell easily lasted a full day of heavy use. When I did need to top up, the 80W charging was fast enough that I never felt tethered to a wall outlet.

The display is another win. The 6.8-inch AMOLED panel hits 120Hz natively, and it stays bright enough to use under direct sunlight. That matters more for maps, messaging, and reading than it does for Call of Duty Mobile.

There are trade-offs, of course. The software is not as polished as a Pixel or Galaxy, and the camera is just okay. But for someone who wants a phone that can handle work, media, and the occasional AAA game without compromise, the Red Magic 11S Pro delivers where it counts. It is a daily driver that happens to be a gaming beast, not the other way around.
